What level do I need to be to attend this camp?

All levels and abilities are welcome for this camp, both BJJ and Surfing.

How far is Playa Venao from Panama City?

Playa Venao is 5.5 hours away from Panam City by shuttle, there are possibilities of flights to nearby town of Pedasi which is 30 mins by taxi to Venao

How does the booking process work?

What are my room options?

Accepted Answer

Option 1: Private Reservation suited for a single Surf & BJJ occupant (limited reservations available).

Option 2:  Double Reservation suited for couples training together, 1 Surf & BJJ guest travelling with non participant or suited for 2 friends wanting to share.

Option 3: Triple/Quad Reservation, share with another 2-3 other participants of the same gender. Keep to a budget, hey you only spend time in the room to sleep anyway!

Option 4: Team Reservation,  5-6 Surf & BJJ occupants, bring a team down from your academy! Best bang for your buck!

All rooms have a safe and access to a common kitchen to prepare your own meals if desired. Enjoy your patio hammock and the comfort of in room air-conditioning.

I want to reserve a share room, how does that work?

Travelling with a group or a friend? We will pair you together, let us know and we will try to accommodate.
Travelling alone on a budget? We will pair you with another camp guest of the same gender where possible. We can work out the details togehter. Note the Dorm Room is Co-Ed as is the camp.
Camp reservations are per person.

Question 6

I want to travel with my partner that doesn't train or surf, how does that look?

Accepted Answer

The training partner can request a double reservation, you can add a non-training guest to the room for an extra $975 this gets them the first night in Panama with breakfast, transportation to and from the resort, stay at Beach break, all breakfasts. You can add the Surf and Wellness package for an extra $375.

What is the minimum age to attend this camp?

Camp participants can be 14 years old with a parent, otherwise 18 years and older.

How much is a deposit?

When is the full payment due after the deposit?

The balance after the deposit of $600 USD  is due 60 days (December 1st 2026) out from the start date of the camp. You will be notified prior with reminder emails. Deposits and final payments are NON-REFUNDABLE due to the need to secure:	•	Guest instructors	•	Hotel rooms	•	Transport & vendor bookings	•	Final payments are Transferable up until 48 hrs prior to Jan 30th 2027

Can I make my payments in instalments?

Yes, please inquire at the time of booking to arrange a payment schedule, Keep in mind that all FINAL PAYMENTS ARE DUE DECEMBER 3RD 2025.

What day should I arrive in Panama?

You should be arrive no later than Sunday January 30th 2027, the shuttle to the resort will leave at 8:00 am on Sunday January 31at 2027.

What day should I depart?

The departure travel day is Febuary 5th 2026, expect an early shuttle to accommodate a variety of fight times, or inquire for extended stays. It's best to book later in the day or evening flights to avoid early morning shuttles. Panama City is 5.5 hours away by suttle plus international travel is recomended that you arrive 3 hours prior.
